1st Homecare is a well-established care agency with a contract to manage the care needs at the Oxford Council run Extra Care Housing Scheme in Abingdon.
\nWe require part time and full time carers at Nicholson House in Abingdon.
\nExtra Care Housing enables people to live within their own flat but have the support and social activities around them to avoid becoming socially isolated. Some clients require support with personal care and dressing, other clients just need a welfare check. Social activities such as coffee mornings and breakfasts are held monthly and staff and residents are encourage to participate.
\nYou are paid per shift, rather than client contact time.
\nRates of pay are \u00a39.22 per hour weekday, \u00a310.60 per hour Saturday and \u00a311.77 per hour Sunday.
\nThe following shifts are available-
\n7-3, 3-10. Sleeping night is 10pm-7am.
\nFor employees new to care we offer a full induction course including refresher training where required. You will be given support and guidance from experienced staff, supervisions, spot checks and appraisals. All ensuring that your career is progressing in the right direction. In addition we encourage all of our care workers to train for professionally recognised qualifications (Level 2, 3 or 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care)
